Xylophone Deagan Model 830 Serial #59xx $1270.00
This is an US Army Band traveling xylophone made in 1942. The rosewood bar size is 1 1/4" x 5/8". This "Super Lite-Wate" has 3 octaves from C5 to C8. It is sold with the original vulcanized fiber case. This xylophone was made during World War II when most metal went to the war efforts. The resonators are made of heavy cardboard and one has been repaired. The cardboard resonators make this xylophone much lighter and easier to transport. The fold-up legs makes tear-down easy. This Deagan xylophone is very nice and sounds great. It has the original dark green Army paint and is in like new condition.
